Display manufacturer AOC has a new monitor to announce for their current lineup called the C2789FH8. It is a 27″ monitor using a full HD VA curve panel. The rear connector area has a d-sub and HDMI 1.4 port, as well as a 3.5mm for audio. While it does not provide the highest resolution available nor does it provide high refresh rates, it has very good color accuracy. It does support AMD FreeSync however, which helps minimize the tearing through seamless GPU synchronization without much GPU performance penalty.
The C2789FH8 is clad in white and gold, looking more elegant than typical gaming monitors. Aside from the color consistency, the C2789FH8 also boasts 50 million-to-1 contrast ratio with a 4ms response time on a curvature of 1800R. Its brightness rating is set at 250 nits, and it has a 178-degree horizontal/vertical viewing angle.
Despite its high-end look in gold, the AOC C2789FH8 is surprisingly affordable at only $249.99. The lack of extra connectivity might be an issue for some, but this is more than understandable for the other features that you get for the price.
It is now available in retail stores such as NewEgg or Amazon.
