A Closer Look

The latest AOC monitor looks absolutely gorgeous, with a very clean and focused design that’s sure to look great in any gaming setup. As you can see it features a very slim bezel.

It’s a very neat edge, with a matte finish front panel over the VA screen, giving it a very flush fitted look.

The bottom section is a little deeper, allowing for the control panel, as well as a thin bit of red trim that’s angled downwards, rather than towards you.

There are no silly touch buttons on this monitor, just clearly labelled physical buttons that are pretty easy to control. Combined with their new OSD, it’s actually one of the better control and menu systems out there, although I do prefer the analogue stick controller style too.

Branding is kept very clean and simple, with just a humble AOC logo reminding you of what you purchased.

A neat little feature sticker, again, reminding you of what you bought. I jest though, as these are great features and I’m looking forward to testing them.

The stand is a nice and simple design, with a metal V shape that doesn’t take up much space at all. It comes with a turntable mount, allowing you to adjust the monitor to suit your needs without having to move the base.

The monitors its self can be tilted forwards and backwards a fairly decent amount. It can also be adjusted quite high, should you decide you’re suddenly a giraffe.

Or if you’re slouching way down in your gaming chair, you can drop the monitor down nice and low too. My point is, you’ll have no issue finding something to suit your needs really.

Around the back, the monitor certainly looks more “gamer” with those red flairs on the sides and a red stripe down the back of the stand.

It all matches up with the red mount at the bottom of the stand, and the red strip on the front of the monitor. I like that front the front the monitor is more understated though.

The monitor comes with a pair of HDMI inputs, as well as a DisplayPort, so you shouldn’t have any issues getting connected. There’s even a headphone out, should you need it.

The monitor comes with a pretty competent USB hub too, offering up four USB 3 ports. There’s a great for cable management and freeing up space around your desk. I actually just use mine for all my USB dongles and some USB powered monitor backlights.

The monitor users a tool-free locking system for the stand too, so it’s very easy to build and take apart. Furthermore, it does have a VESA mount behind this too, should you wish to use your own stand, or even a wall mount.
