This monitor is rated for 127.9% sRGB and 100% DCI-P3, however, that’s a little bit of a marketing bumf as you need to be in HDR mode to get the full DCI-P3 range and like most edge-lit HDR400 panels, the HDR performance is a bit crap. However, leaving it in SDR mode, which I strongly recommend, it dazzles, hitting 93% of the DCI-P3 scale and everything honestly looks amazing.
There are multiple gamma options in the OSD, but right out of the box, it’s bang on our ideal target of 2.2.
The grey ramp is fantastic, one of the smoothest ramps we’ve seen with no particularly standout peaks or dips, and only a small deviance overall.
The peak brightness needs to be good to counter that slightly glossy panel coating, and it most certainly is at up to 430 nits at 100% brightness. However, I found putting it down to about 40-50% on an evening was more than bright enough.
Now this is impressive. I knew from the moment I turned this monitor on the colours were impressive, but this proves it. Under Delta-E 5 is good, and under 3 is hard for the untrained eye to spot any inaccuracies, but with an average deviance of just 0.35, it’s one of the most accurate displays I have ever tested.
