AOC has one of the broadest range of gaming monitors on the market, with a model for every budget, resolution, refresh rate, screen size and just about every other factor you can think of. At 27″ the new AOC U27G3X is a nice sweet spot for gaming, offering a good size without the added cost of a larger monitor. However, don’t be fooled, as this monitor still isn’t overly cheap, costing up to $500! Of course, for that money, you’ll be expecting it to be packing some serious hardware, and you would be right.
The 27″ panel features an impressive 3840×2160 (4K) resolution, which I think is a little high for 27″, but on the plus side, the pixel density is going to be pretty amazing, and with fantastic colour reproduction right out of the box the image should be very detailed. However, it also features a 160Hz IPS panel with a 1ms response time, but also a dedicated 120Hz mode for use with consoles. Keep in mind, that 4K and 160Hz is no easy task, so you’ll need a pretty potent gaming PC to get the most out of this one.
“Unleash your potential and win sweet victories with the AOC U27G3X gaming monitor- a sleek battle station with 4K UHD resolution, 160Hz lightning-fast refresh rate and 1ms MPRT rapid response time. AOC low input lag mode ensures incredibly smooth graphics that react instantly to what’s happening on screen. And Doing our Part for the Environment. At AOC, we design great products that meet our customers’ needs in a sustainable and responsible way. Our entire lineup is Mercury-free, ROHS-compliant, and made from conflict-free materials. Our packaging now includes less plastic, less ink, and more paper.”
