AOC has unveiled a new portable 16-inch monitor designed for travellers and business users. The I1659FWUX is a 1080p IPS display powered by USB 3.0 therefore the monitor can act as an extra display for a laptop or other device, like a smartphone or tablet. As a result of its size, it’s perfect for a variety of tasks including presentations and photo viewing.
The I1659FWUX boasts the following features:
The I1659FWUX, being small and lightweight, is designed as an ideal portable display solution for travellers and business users:
“It’s ultra-lightweight and slim for great portability, making it perfect for business presentations, the frequent traveler, photo frame applications, and dual monitor setups on-the-go. The I1659FWUX USB monitor is the solution for the frequent traveler who needs to pack multiple displays, as it easily fits into a backpack or the carry case that comes with the USB monitor.”
The display automatically rotates the screen from portrait or landscape, so can suit a number of different display needs:
“The I1659FWUX USB Monitor has a foldable flexi-stand for viewing in landscape or portrait mode. Landscape mode is ideal for presentations and Excel sheets, while the Portrait mode conveniently gives you an easy vertical view of your instant messaging program, or sidebars such as search results. This monitor has the unique auto-pivot feature that automatically adjusts the image according to the display’s orientation, so you will never have to change settings as you switch between landscape and portrait mode.”
The AOC I1659FWUX 16-inch USB Monitor is available now. You can buy it in North America, priced at $149.99, which seems like a pretty good price honestly.
This comes at the perfect time because the team are readying themselves for Computex at the end of May. Due to this, we will be contacting AOC to see if they will to send us a sample to roadtest during the show.
