Information regarding Gigabyte’s AORUS GTX 1080 Ti WaterForce Xtreme WB video card came out last week, although the actual launch is now set on July 7. With the water-block version, Gigabyte is also introducing the AORUS GTX 1080 Ti WaterForce AIO for those who don’t own a custom loop.
WaterForce AIO Cooling System
The AORUS AIO solution is upgraded compared to most video cards with a 120mm radiator cooler slapped on. The block for example, is a giant copper piece that extends to the surrounding VRAM as well as the GPU. A flattened heatpipe also extends towards an aluminum block for the 12-phase VRM MOSFETs. There are no fans on the video card itself, just on the actual 120mm radiator.
Specifications
The NVIDIA reference GTX 1080 Ti has clock speeds of 1,480MHz base and 1582MHz boost. In comparison, the Gigabyte GTX 1080Ti underneath the block runs up to 1607MHz base and 1,721MHz boost. It also has a secondary “OC mode” setting that runs at higher speeds of 1,632MHz base and 1,746MHz boost.
In terms of display output, there are two HDMI 2.0b ports, three DisplayPort 1.4 connectors and a single dual-link DVI-D port. The unit comes with a lengthy 4-year warranty after registration.
Availability and Pricing
Both WaterForce Xtreme WB and WaterForce Xtreme AIO video cards are launching on July 7, 2017. In terms of pricing, the GTX1080Ti WaterForce Xtreme AIO will have a $819.99 USD price tag, while the waterblocked version’s MSRP is $849.99.
