Pretty much every brand has some gaming products under its name, but when it comes to the truly top-tier stuff, only a few brand names really spring to mind. MSI, ASUS and most importantly for today, AORUS are the first ones that cross my mind (in no particular order). They’ve all got the most high-end and fiercely competitive hardware. Of course, that often means paying a premium, but that’s true of pretty much any kind of technology. AORUS is the hard-core gaming and extreme-hardware branch of Gigabyte, offering many of the fastest motherboards, graphics cards and more. However, today I’ll be focusing on the AORUS 15P Gaming Laptop, which must be “CS:GO World’s Top Esports Team G2 Esports Certified” for good reason!
It’s not the most bleeding-edge tech, but it’s certainly up there with the best. Keeping in mind, this system is focused almost exclusively on gaming performance rather than being an overpowered rendering workstation. That means you get the swift Intel Core i7 processors (10th Gen), paired up with an Nvidia RTX 30 series graphics card. In this very model that I’m testing, that’s an i7-11800H, with an RTX 3080 8G, making this an extremely potent system. People may sniff at gaming laptops, but I’ll bet the spec on this outpaces most of our reader’s current desktops. Add to that, 16GB of DDR4 memory, a 1TB M.2 SSD, and a stunning Full HD 240Hz display, and we’re ready to rock!
“Gigabyte Aorus Gaming Laptops bring you both high end performance and reliability with the latest range of gaming laptops. The Gigabyte Aorus Gaming Laptops are packed full of features and high end technology Including Intel 11th Generation CPU, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Graphics card and a 240Hz FHD Screen giving you a smooth gaming experience and great creator quality.” – AORUS
