A Closer Look – CV27Q

The monitor is pretty fantastic to look at. The 1500R curved panel isn’t to everyone’s taste, but it works really well in this size and will help with immersion while gaming. Also, it’s quite a mild curve, so won’t feel intrusive while working either.

A nice little Aorus logo at the bottom, but otherwise, that’s the only branding on show.

The heavy-duty stand has plenty of little details that keep it looking smart too.

Adjustment

At maximum, it’s pretty tall standing. Handy if you’re sat higher, or happen to have a really long neck. Of course, you can tilt it down too, which is great if you play with your chair heavily reclined.

There’s a good range of rotation and backwards tilt too. Whatever angle you need, it should be capable of getting you where you need to be.

VESA

The stand mounts tool-free on the back of the monitor. It’s perfect for desktop use. However, it does have a VESA mount should you wish to mount it on your own stand or wall.

Even from the rear, the monitor is great to look at. This doesn’t bother me, as my desk is against the wall. However, if you have an open desk, it’s nice to see they’ve made the effort. Plus, there are some RGB strips back here for some added flair.

Input and Output

You’ve got loads of options here. There’s those ANC headphone and microphone jacks, dual HDMI, a single DP and a USB 3.0 hub. I’d have liked the headset jacks to be on the side though, as they’re tricky to reach; hardly a deal-breaker though.
