Final Thoughts
How Much Does it Cost?
The Gigabyte AORUS H5 RGB Gaming Headset is available now from most major retailers. It’s priced at £57.79 on Amazon, although I have seen it on sale a few times for closer to £50, so shop around for a good deal. At this price, it’s pretty competitive though, and with an in-line controller, RGB, and powerful drivers, you’ll not find better at such a great price.
Overview
The AORUS brand continues to impress, and we’ve loved their peripherals over the years. Fortunately for AORUS, the H5 is no exception, and I suspect it’ll prove to be a pretty popular product for them this year. The design is very gamer focused, and you may look a little odd wearing it in the office. However, for gaming at home, it’s well suited to the task.
Build Quality
There’s a lot of plastics on the headset. However, they’re very nicely finished and the matte finish looks and feels pretty great. Also, the lightweight design is comfortable to wear for long gaming sessions, while the headset still feels pretty durable. It’ll take a few knocks and bumps without concern, and the flexible headband is pretty robust too.
Added Value
The sound quality is pretty fantastic for such an affordable headset, so no concerns there. However, AORUS did a great job adding some thrills to sweeten the deal. The inclusion of RGB lighting may not be required, but it’s a fun addition regardless, and great for matching up your other AORUS RGB hardware. Furthermore, the detachable microphone, in-line controller, and comfortable foam padding are all welcome bonuses.
Should I Buy One?
If you’re looking for a headset for under £60, you’re pretty much spoilt for choice right now. The market is packed with great products. However, the AORUS H5 is pretty competitive, and again, packed full of features, and with great performance, it would make an excellent choice for any PC gamer.
