The Aorus Master had no issues locking our i9-9900K to 5 GHz. The robust power delivery hardware and the dual 8-pin CPU headers are pretty much overkill. However, stability was no issue, and if anything this was the least problematic motherboard for overclocking that CPU; it’s why we used it for the CPU review! Once overclocked, it scored an amazing 24417 in 3DMark; an increase of around 400 points. The WPrime score also shed 4.114 seconds once overclocked. The low Cinebench single-core score of 214 (for an i9-9900K) soon caught up too, hitting 220 points at 5 GHz. This is a big deal, as that’s also the highest single-core score we’ve had for any motherboard/CPU combination to date. Meanwhile, the multi-core performance reached 5153.
