The Aorus Pro comes flying out of the gates in our synthetic benchmarks. It scored our highest ever 3DMark Fire Strike score of 24029, which is simply fantastic. Of course, the i9-9900K and a 1080 Ti help a lot, but all other Z390 motherboards had that same advantage. The Unigine score was right on track also, not the fastest, but about where it should be. The PCMark 10 score could have been better, but it’s still competitive with other Z390 motherboards, and it beat the more expensive Aorus Master motherboard.
Moving onto the big number crunching benchmarks, the Pro continued to impress. It scored a superb 82.946 in WPrime, which is the second fastest time we’ve had for a Z390 motherboard. That’s a little confusing though, as the CineBench score was great, but still a bit behind most Z390 motherboards. However, I would argue that it performed well overall. The same is true for Handbrake, where it scored a steady 74.9 FPS while transcoding 4K video.
