AORUS Pro Gaming Z390 Motherboard Review

All of our Z390 motherboards hit 5 GHz on all-cores on the i9-9900K. That’s no small order either, given the 8-core design of the CPU in this form factor means the chip runs pretty darn hot. I’ve seen them go above 5.2 GHz, but keep in mind we’re using the Noctua NH-D15S, and higher voltages would want to be under liquid cooling.
While the Pro scored our highest 3DMark score at stock, it dropped down a few places while overclocked, giving way to more expensive motherboards. It still did amazing though, and 24139 is a great score. The WPrime score was a big improvement though, dropping from 82.9 seconds to just 78.47 in 1024M. The real surprsie waas in CineBench, where single core performance hit a whopping 221 points! That’s the highest score we’ve ever had, and the Aorus Master is second with 220 points. Well done Aorus!
