Gaming monitors are rarely all that different from the last one. However, AORUS are new to the gaming monitor battlefield, and they’ve come out swinging. The Aorus monitor comes equipped with a fantastic QHAD 144 Hz panel, which offers up 95% DCI-P3 colour. It’s a full 10-bit IPS panel too, so the picture quality is just stunning to look at.
It’ll support AMD FreeSync too, ensuring smooth gaming on that 144 Hz panel.
The real innovations are even more impressive though. It features a built-in power brick in the monitor stand. That means you only have the power cable to connect, and no power brick say on your floor or behind your desk. Although, this does mean you cannot wall mount it.
The built-in monitor OSD is incredible too, featuring AORUS Game Assist, OSD Sidekick, Dashboard, and more. You can set in-game overlays such as crosshairs, FPS counters, system performance statistics and more. However, this isn’t overlayed on the GPU side, but the monitor. This means that games that do not allow for such overlays can be bypassed.
Plug your headphones and microphone into the monitor directly. This way you can use the monitors built in ANC technology. It has several modes, one of which can tune out more erratic noises like loud music and mechanical keyboard noise; not just background noise.
It’ll be available soon with an MSRP of $699.
