Overview

You would have to travel far and wide and have a severe bump on the head to find a bad memory kit these days. Mostly anything with a brand name will perform rather well. When it comes to enthusiast and gaming memory, the market is packed full of competitive products. AORUS set out to compete with the competition, but as you saw here today, it blasted throughout benchmarks with grace. It’s not just a 1 trick RGB pony after all.

Aesthetics

Just talking about the two actual DRR4 modules here. The AORUS RGB Memory is by far some of the best looking RAM on the market. It’s certainly some of the most pretty looking memory I’ve ever seen. The brushed metal finish on the heatspreaders looks stunning, and the way it reflects like just oozes quality. Throw in some custom RGB lighting though, and it looks even better. I’m not a huge RGB fan, but when it comes down to it, the AORUS is up there with the best. However, you can get double the fun. On the aesthetics front, providing those dummy modules means you can popular your board with ease, and a much lower cost than buying two sets of RAM. Well done AORUS, this is a genius idea!

Overclocking

I did get this RAM to post up to 3800, but stability just wasn’t there. With the right motherboard on the right day, I think they’ll do it no problem. However, for us, 3733 was a fantastic result. Of course, even the stock speed of 3200 MHz is hardly lacking in performance and will more than do for most high-end gaming systems. Those thick metal heat spreaders did a great job of keeping things nice and cool too.

Should I Buy One?

I honestly can’t think of many who wouldn’t want this memory kit, I mean, it’s pretty awesome in every regard. The styling is stunning, and the fact you can fill your motherboard while still only using two sticks of RAM is a cost saver and an aesthetic boost. The performance is staggering, and the RGB is dazzling. Highly recommended.
