The embargo has lifted and the latest RX 500 series Radeon video cards from AMD have been unveiled including custom versions from Gigabyte’s high-end gaming brand AORUS. There will be four new 500 series models for the AORUS line consisting of the Radeon RX 580 XTR 8G, RX 580 8G, RX 580 4G and RX 570 4G.
All four AORUS video card models feature RGB lighting controllable via Gigabyte’s RGB Fusion app and have an extensive cooling system that is composed of a backplane cooling module, dual fans, heatpipe direct touch heatsink that covers VRM and RAM, as well as smart LED power indicators.
The AORUS RX 580 XTR 8G gets upgraded features, however, such as a premium shroud design, dual 100mm fans instead of 90mm, and GPU-gauntlet sorting that ensures higher overclocks for users compared to other non pre-binned GPUs.
Other than the flagship XTR RX 580 8GB model, there will also be a more affordable non XTR 8GB and 4GB AORUS RX 580 video card option. The AORUS RX 580 4GB runs a slower 7000MHz memory clock matching the RX 570 model, while both RX 580 XTR and RX 580 8G have 8000MHz memory clocks out of the box.
All four models have one DVI-D, one HDMI and three DisplayPorts in the rear IO, capable of driving resolutions up to 7680×4320 and up to five displays at a time.
