With all this high-end hardware, we’re expecting nothing but first-class performance from the XTREME. Thankfully, it doesn’t disappoint in that regard. Straightaway, if scored out highest ever in 3DMark FireStrike with 24055, putting it just ahead of both the Aorus Pro and Aurus Master; not bad for them taking a 1/2/3 on the podium! The Unigine score was also the third highest we’ve had, and the fastest for Z390 too. Clearly, GPU throughput on this motherboard is on point.
We saw our fourth highest score for PCMark 10 also, which is also the highest we’ve had for Z390 yet again! It just pulled ahead of the previous Z390 leader, the ASUS WS Pro, by 7 points.
In WPrime, another superb score of 82.44 seconds in 2014M, which is the second fastest score for this chipset, and only missed the top spot by 0.4 seconds. While all this becomes clear in CineBench R15, where we saw a whopping 219 points for single core performance, the highest we’ve ever gotten for single core, albeit it’s the same score as the superb RoG Maximus XI Hero Z390. However, when it came to all cores, it left the other Z390 motherboards eating dust, as it hit a whopping 2077; the only things faster are X299 and X399.
Finally, it matched other flagship Z390 motherboard in handbrake, hitting 75.1 FPS while transcoding 4K video. That’s the second highest score we’ve had, putting it in joint second place with four other motherboards.
