Apacer Announces Blade Fire DDR4 with LED Light

Apacer‘s Blade DDR4 memory kit series first launched in 2015. Now they are releasing an updated version called the Blade Fire DDR4, featuring built-in red LED lighting. The memory kit is tested for both Intel and AMD series platforms, and supports XMP 2.0 for loading quick overclocking settings.

The Blade Fire DDR4’s Armory design uses two pieces of aluminium, sandwiching a black PCB with an LED diffuser at the top. This extends the height of the RAM, so be wary of clearance compatibility with certain heatsinks. The use of black makes it more color agnostic and should blend in with most gaming motherboards. The larger heatspreader surface area however, gives it better heat dissipation when overclocking. In terms of performance, Apacer offers the Blade Fire DDR4 in capacities up to 32GB and in frequencies up to 3200MHz with 16-18-38 timings.

The LED pulses like a heartbeat at 77 beats-per-minute. However, it does not consume much power. In fact, the module remains at a 1.35V stock for the 3200MHz version. It is also available in 2800MHz with 1.2V.

Pricing and Availability

There is no specific pricing information available yet, but it will be available in the UK and EU region soon.
