Apacer Panther Rage Illumination 16 GB 3000MHz DDR4 Memory Review

Apacer Panther Rage

Is it time to take your system performance seriously? Enter the Panther Rage DDR4 memory from Apacer! Not only do they promise stunning performance from their 3000 MHz hardware, but they also look pretty fierce too. Equipped with their stunning Panther design, these are sure to be a big hit with those who want something that looks unique, while still delivering the high-end performance modern gaming systems demand.

Admittedly, Apacer over-explain their design principles in the image below, but I can’t deny the design is pretty awesome. So let’s move on and take a closer look at what they have to offer.

What Apacer Had to Say

“The PANTHER RAGE DDR4 is an advanced generation of PANTHER DDR4, featuring an LED lighting perfectly for gaming, overclocking, and M.O.D enthusiasts. No panthers can be fierce without sharp teeth. Apacer has developed an exclusive, patented light-homogenizing technology that allows more extravagant lighting patterns while keeping the presentation at evenness. The uniquely designed LED lighting bar is inspired by the fangs of a panther.” – Apacer

We’re reviewing a 16GB kit today, which came as two 8 GB DDR4 3000 MHz modules. Other speeds are available (see above), but we have the fastest kit here for review today.

A Closer Look

First impressions of the Panther are extremely positive. The stamped metal heat sink looks incredible, offering up lots of unique lines that give them real presence. The stamped out Panther design is treated to a mirror finish, which is sure to shine throughout your system when any lights hit the surfaces.

The modules have a saw tooth edge on the bottom, which looks great against the all black PCB for a more unified look.

The top section is even cooler, using a claw design in clear white plastic for some added flair. If you’re building a monochrome finish gaming system, these are going to look spectacular.

The mirror finish, the panther, the claws on the top, it all looks great. Of course, what we really want to see is the performance! So let’s get them on the test bench and see what they can do!
