Apple Begins Selling Sleeve Covers for MacBooks—Costs £149

Apple is not exactly in the habit of making quiet releases but this is one of them. It is a premium leather sleeve specifically for 12-inch MacBooks and is an official Apple product. It even has the signature Apple logo embossed in the middle. Up until this point, the company has been more than willing to let third party companies create sleeve covers. However, it appears they are changing their tune and taking charge. This is a first for Apple, but considering their clientele, it is actually a smart move.
Pricey is Apple’s Tradition
With a £149 price tag, it is on the expensive side for a sleeve cover. But then again, that is par for the course with Apple. To be fair to them, the charging ability adds some value, but they are also making these covers from high-quality French leather on the outside. Inside, the MacBook can sit comfortably inside soft microfibre lining. Users can choose between midnight blue or saddle brown leather.
The underside of the sleeve actually has four feet on the corners which elevate it slightly off the table slightly. There is also fine stitching surrounding the edges. The top is open with some room which allows the MacBook to charge while inside.
