Apple CEO Tim Cook recently joined Twitter as @tim_cook and took the opportunity to “brag” with his first tweet. The Apple CEO’s first tweet read:
“Visited Retail Stores in Palo Alto today. Seeing so many happy customers reminds us of why we do what we do.”
Interestingly the Apple CEO has only been on Twitter for around a day but has already notched up over 154,000 followers. His first Tweet bagged an impressive 6600 Retweets and 3200 Favourites.
The Apple CEO even went to great lengths to ensure his account got up and running straight away as a verified account so people know it is genuine. His account comes just after the release of iOS 7 and the iPhone 5S. No doubt his Twitter account will be used as a medium for delivering important Apple news in future.
