Apple fixes data bug in iOS maps for Australians (only)

Just after a few hours after Australian Police issued a warning about drivers getting stranded thanks to iOS 6’s map app, Apple worked on it and fixed the error which was responsible for letting multiple drivers in Australia to be stranded in a national park rather than in their preferred location.

Apple did work very quickly for fixing this issue after police authorities issued a warning and recommended to avoid it, but people who are not in Australia are still facing issues, as reported by one of the Arstechnica writers where he was in the middle of a country highway in Wisconsin while his destination was at least 10 miles away.

Eventually, Apple may bite the bullet and just use Google maps or would they be able to fix all the bugs as quickly as possible?
