Apple Announce Plans For A Large iPhone X

Apple iPhone X

The iPhone X, for Apple, represented one of the most major product launches in years. A high-powered phone which was set to be the next big thing for the company.

Unfortunately, it didn’t exactly turn out that way with very disappointing sales figures. That hasn’t, however, stopped Apple from making an announcement that they plan to release a larger version of the iPhone X.

Why?…

It’s a good question and frankly one which I can’t answer very well.

Sales for the iPhone X have been very poor. It has even caused Apple to practically half production on the phone. Despite that, however, in a report via the Independent, Apple seems adamant that the phone does have a future.

The new iPhone X’s

In a report via the Independent, Apple plan to launch 3 new versions of the iPhone X. One will be a significantly larger version than the existing, with some speculation suggesting it might be comparable to an iPad. Another model will include updated and more powerful hardware while a 3rd budget option is also supposedly in the works.

In fairness, budget might be the operative word as the phone retails for around £999.

The future of the iPhone X

The future of the iPhone X is hard to say. Despite it being very reliable, it hasn’t been popular. Likely part of the reason of that is due to the close proximity release of the much less expensive iPhone 8.

Apple might be able to salvage it by doing this, they might be flogging a dead horse. Only time will tell.
