Apple has just posted invites to journalists announcing a “Spring forward” event on March 9th. It will take place at the Yerba Buena Arts Center in San Francisco, a venue used for countless Apple events.
While there are no further details at this time, it’s believed that the event will focus on the Apple Watch, among other things. The name, “Spring forward”, is an obvious nod to time, considering that the clocks go forward on Sunday, March 8th (in the US). The Apple Watch is due out in April, so it’s understood that Apple will likely reveal more about the new device and announce more details concerning its launch.
While the event could solely focus on the watch, it’s not uncommon for the company to make other announcements at such events. For the last few months, we’ve seen rumours concerning a new redesigned MacBook Air – a product said to be ready for early 2015. We’ve also heard about an ‘iPad Pro’ with a larger screen, but this is more likely to arrive in the later half of the year.
