As is custom, it is time for Apple’s annual WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) on Monday the 6th of June where Apple holds their annual conference to showcase new innovations in software and hardware for over a few thousand developers, enabling developers to get hands on.
So what can we expect from WWDC this year? Well Apple press info has mentioned the unveiling of their next Operating System named Lion hopefully a fully fledged detailed reveal on Lion as well as a release to go with the event.
As well as iOS 5 for their current iOS devices, what many people are hoping for is more freedom from iOS being able to give users more customization options, perhaps something similar to Android perhaps?
Something new Apple is to launch is a cloud service called iCloud. While the details aren’t fully known it may be online computing via the cloud or data/music based cloud solution.
iPhone 5 will most likely not get a mention, most sources predict its release during the end of the year.
Apple’s WWDC is set for Monday 6th June 2011 at 10am PST time or 6pm GMT time. Those with an Apple device should be able to stream the conference live on their Apple device. Coincidentally Apple’s conference is set to start 30 minutes after Microsoft’s presentation at E3.
