At Apple’s “Let’s Talk iPhone” event today they revealed the new iOS version 5 alongside the launch of the new iPhone. The main features of this latest iOS version include an improved notification system, deeper twitter integration along with some new Applications.
For example Apple particularly pressed the “Cards” app which allows you to design your own greetings card and then Apple will print and post it to you for just $2.99 per card.
Apple also revealed the “Find My Friends” application, whereas most users would be familiar with the “Find my iPhone” application this works in a similar way except it finds people and friends: once you opt in to this service you will be able to find where any other participating friends are in the world on a map. Although some analysts are commenting there isn’t much difference between this and Google’s “Latitude” app.
Apple’s iOS 5 will be available from October the 12th.
