Apple and Tesla have reportedly entered a tug of war over top employees. The two companies are worried about losing some of their most important employees to each other, and interestingly, it’s said that 150 Apple employees have left for Tesla – something Apple isn’t all too pleased about.

Bloomberg Business says that this is a growing trend, with Apple often being associated with Tesla.

“The company has hired at least 150 former Apple employees, more than from any other company, even carmakers. The former Apple staffers work in many areas of the 6,000-employee automaker, including engineering and law. “From a design philosophy, [Apple] is relatively closely aligned,” says Musk, Tesla’s co-founder and chief executive officer. Apple declined to comment for this story.”

Apple has responded by offering big bonuses to Tesla employees it’s interested in – $250,000 signing bonuses and 60 percent salary increases. Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, says this isn’t enough however, saying “very few people” have gone the other way.

So, what’s Apple to do about this? Buy Tesla? It’s not like they can’t afford it.
