The $10,000 and up Apple Watch Edition will have the AppleCare+ plan set at $999, this will extend the warranty from 2 years to 3 years. Buyers will get a dedicated setup hotline and two years of 24/7 support with two accidental damage incidents covered in that time; people who buy the plan will have that for three years.
For the Watch Sport and the Apple Watch the standard coverage gets the buyers 90 days of phone support and a one year limited hardware warranty. The Watch Sport AppleCare+ will cost $59 and the Apple Watch version will cost $79. The AppleCare+ will get the buyers two years of phone support and coverage for two accidental damage incidents. Pre-orders for the watches starts on April 10th and it should be interesting to see if the demand is there since the reception of the product hasn’t been too great.
