Even though the iPhone 16 can no longer be sold in Indonesia, the manufacturer has presented strong numbers for the last quarter. Precisely, the robust sales of the iPhone 16 have increased the company’s revenue by 6%, with a total of $94.9 billion for the months of July to September. The strategic September launch of Apple’s latest phone has clearly paid off in boosting these numbers.
But it’s not just iPhone sales that have been positive. The company has seen an increase in sales across all its divisions, except for wearables, which saw a 3% dip in sales. Despite achieving higher revenues, profits did not fare as well, showing a reduction of 35% compared to the same period last year. Apple attributed this drop to the pending $15.8 billion payment to Ireland, a fine imposed for anti-competitive practices in Europe.
In any case, Apple continues to increase its revenue over time, a trend strong enough to support the potential acquisition of one of the computing giants, Intel. Rumors suggest Apple is interested in this purchase, though it would face competition from Qualcomm and Samsung, who are reportedly also interested.
