Are you looking forward to a new generation of Apple iMac desktops? If that’s the case, then you’ll be glad to know that you won’t have to wait too long, as Apple is getting ready to launch their new iMacs in Q3-2015, most likely in September. These new computers will be based on the newest available technologies and will be able to ensure a relatively impressive experience, at least from a visual point of view. They will be powered by fast processors such as Intel’s new Skylake line, and they will boast DDR4 memory as well as increased display resolutions.
Available displays will include a 21.5 inch model with 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160 pixels) resolution, as well as a stunning 27-inch 5K (5120 x 2880 pixels) variant. It’s also worth mentioning that these display panels will flaunt a special LED phosphor material named KSF (K2SiF6:Mn), which was chosen specifically for its ability to enhance color saturation. The panels will provide a color depth of 30-bit (10 bpc), and they will be able to produce 1.07 billion colors. Obviously, the new iMacs are not designed for gaming, but they are still able to handle themselves nicely at 4K.
