Archos have just announced the release of a trio of new Platinum Series tablets. The Archos 80b Platinum, Archos 101 Platinum and Archos 97b Platinum HD have all been released.
First up is the 80b Platinum which is a more budget orientated tablet. This runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, has a quad core ARM Cortex A9 CPU @ 1.6GHz, 1GB of DDR3, 8GB of storage with expandable microSD, dual band WiFi, Bluetooth, a front 0.3MP camera and rear 2MP camera and an 8 inch 1024 x 768 IPS display.
Next is the Archos 101 Platinum which features Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, the same quad core ARM Cortex A9 CPU @ 1.6GHz as the 80b, 2GB of DDR3, 8GB of storage expandable with microSD, dual band WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, a front 0.3 MP camera, rear 2MP camera and a 1280 x 800 10.1 inch IPS display.
Finally is the top of the range 97b platinum. This features a similar config to the others with regards to storage, the CPU and the OS. It also has 2GB of DDR3, dual band WiFi, Bluetooth, a front and rear 2MP camera and the star of the show is the display which is 9.7 inches with a 2048 x 1536 resolution.
Archos revealed no pricing just but these tablets will be released this month. Archos hopes to challenge big tablet brands Samsung and Apple with these new offerings:

The combination of features and design of the 97b Platinum HD and 101 Platinum tablets will put them in front of the iPad 4 and Galaxy tab3’s at a better price.”
