Arctic Accelero Twin Turbo 6990 VGA Cooler Review

The front of the box gives you a preview of what the product looks like, but you can’t truly appreciate how big it is until you see it dwarfing a HD 6990 PCB. As expected this cooler is only compatible with the HD 6990 and since its such an Arctic flagship they have happily stuck a 6 year warranty behind it so you know you’re getting quality product.
The back of the box emphasises key features such as the 400 watts of cooling capacity, the reduced sound output, specifications, accessories and a diagram of how the airflow on the product works.
On top of the box there’s a breakdown of the different layers to the product: the two 120mm PWM fans, the 5 copper pipes per GPU, VRM and RAM thermal pads and 86 aluminium fins that make up the heatsink.
When you open the box you get to see the Accelero Twin Turbo 6990 in all its glory. You can also see they’ve bundled a fairly tube of Arctic MX-4 thermal paste with the cooler.
No screws are included with the cooler, you’re expected to use the screws that come with a reference HD 6990 to assemble this cooler. The only provided accessories are 3 spacers, thermal pads for the VRM and RAM, thermal paste for the GPUs and a user’s manual – with the cooler itself obviously.
