Single Card TemperaturesMeasuring temperatures is all about being consitent, therefore we keep a steady eye on monitoring the ambient room temperature to make sure that it stays the same. While this is constantly being monitored, we measure the idle temperature of the graphics card’s components using HWMonitor and GPU-Z over a 15 minute period. Once this has been recorded, we load the system using the extremely demanding MSI Kombustor for 15 minutes and record the results again.

We decided to measure the GPU temperature of the card as well as the VRM temperatures. This will give us an idea of the Twin Turbo Pro’s ability to cool the whole card.

Very promising results were shown by the Twin Turbo Pro. A 20 degree temperature drop was recorded when the card was under load. That is excellent performance!
It’s ability to cool the VRMs on the other hand was awful. Allowing the VRMs to reach a dreadful 142C is ridiculous! Even the stock cooler managed to keep them 34C cooler than the Arctic Cooling cooler.
