Arctic Freezer i30 CPU Cooler Review

Measuring in at 161mm tall and 139mm wide the Arctic Freezer i30 is larger than you may have guessed given its target audience and price tag.
48 aluminium fins of 0.5mm thickness form the cooling tower. The side of the tower on which the 120mm fan is mounted is completely flat. Closed sides offer airflow enhancements by preventing air spilling from the cooler’s sides.
4 8mm copper heatpipes form the H.D.T. base. Arctic claim the cooling capacity of this design to be 320W when accompanied with the 48 fin cooling tower.
A channel in the rear side of the cooler’s fin array provides access to the mounting point. All 4 of the 8mm copper heatpipes are located in close proximity throughout the fin array. Arctic’s logo is embossed into the top of the fan’s plastic shroud.
Arctic use an inter-changeable 120mm 4-pin PWM fan which operates between 400 and 1,350 RPM for a noise output of 0.3 Sone. The plastic shroud connects a 120mm fan to the Freezer i30’s fin array without the need for tools.
