Final Thoughts
Our experience with the Arctic Sound P531 headset has been a very good one on the whole, which is made even more sweet by the extremely low asking price of around £40.
At this price it should be affordable for almost everyone that takes gaming semi-seriously. And, for those who aren’t into gaming, the P531 offers good performance with music playback and movie playback and can be used in applications like Skype thanks to the inbuilt microphone.
The inbuilt USB soundcard is ideal for those who are going to use the headset exclusively with a PC or Mac as it only uses a single connector and provides control over each channel level independently. But for those who want to use their headset with an MP3 player of Smartphone, the P531 simply won’t make the cut as there isn’t any 3.5mm connector option to speak of.
Sure build quality isn’t quite on the same level as headsets from the likes of SteelSeries and Razer but this can’t be expected at this price. But sound quality is good and we’re sure that no one who buys the P531 will be disappointed.
