Arctic Summair & Summair Plus Desktop Fan Review

A Closer Look

The fans feature a very simple, single-colour design that won’t draw much attention, helping it blend into the room quite well, not sticking out or looking out of place.

Opening the fan up reveals the control dial, it’s hidden away here with enough clearance that it won’t touch the blades of the fan, meaning it is safe if you accidentally close the fan before powering it off.

With this being a USB-powered fan, you will find a non-detachable USB type A cable tethered to the back of the fan; this cable comes in at 1.2 meters long, which I feel could be a little longer, but for a desktop setup it’s more than likely going to be plenty long enough.

The dial doesn’t have increments and instead turns smoothly, allowing you to fine-tune the airflow from the fan, but it does click in and out of the off position.

The Summair Plus features the same design as the regular version of the fan but with the addition of being wireless due to its integrated battery.

Both of the fans feature smooth adjustability for the positioning, allowing you to easily find the perfect spot so that it cools you down.

As mentioned, the Summair Plus is a wireless device with a battery inside, so that means that on the back we don’t find the same cable that is attached to the other version; instead we find a USB-C charging port and three LEDs that light up in white to indicate the battery level.

The included charging cable comes in a matching white colour and is the same 1.2 meters long as we saw on the attached cable of the non-Plus version of the Summair.

Looking at the back, the blades of the fan are pretty easily accessible, which does make cleaning a lot easier when some dust starts to get built up.

And finally, the front fan grill is entirely removable, it simply twists a small amount and can be pulled off, allowing you to get very easy access to clean the fan blades. This also gives us a very clear look at how the fan appears to be quite obviously an adapted PC fan, which makes perfect sense, that is what the Arctic know best, so it makes sense to use what they know.
