Ark Survival Evolved released (well, came out of early access) In August last year. Initially, people were really positive about the game as it looked to provide a number of unique features in the ‘open-world’/survival genre. It has, however, suffered from problems many games like this have. Put simply, the initial high-expectations certainly didn’t translate into the finished product.
Despite that though, it was still a more than ambitious project and, for PC owners, you can try it out for free this weekend!
Just to be clear, because these types of promotions do vary, this isn’t free to keep. It is just a weekend. Despite that though, a quick visit to the Steam store page will greet you with the ‘free to play for 2 days’ prompt. There’s no better way to start the weekend than having a free game to try out!
I suppose that is the big question. The short answer is yes. It’s almost a combination of elements from Rust and No Man’s Sky that work remarkably well together. It is, in addition, multiplayer so your experience might vary depending on how you perceive that going. Yes, people are going to try and kill you just to steal your loincloth.
The price is right though, so why not give it a go? If you like it, the sale even has it for 60% off at just £18!
