Famous wrestling video game franchise for the WWE has always been a popular series of titles, from the early WWF Smackdown for the PS1 to today’s crop of high-resolution wrestlers for the current selection of next generation consoles. One thing which does frustrate me with the notion of these games is the accompanied DLC which holds back a chunk of wrestlers which have to be purchased separately.
Anyway, for the recently announced 2016 game by developers Visual Concepts and Yuke’s, they might have slightly veered of track, with the confirmation that the player will be able to choose Arnold Schwarzenegger as a wrestler within the title. Yep Arnie has been connected with WWE having most recently appeared via promo within the Triple H entrance at Wrestlemania 31. But I don’t remember him appearing as the two playable characters which will be a T-800, one from the original 1984 film and another from 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgement Day.
Both characters will be available exclusively to those who pre-order WWE 2K16 from retailers such as Amazon or any other major retailer accepting pre-orders. All we now need is Robocop and players can have a wrestling style Cyborg Royal Rumble with the winner enslaving or saving humanity.
WWE 2K16 will be back on PS3. PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One in North America on October 27, followed by its international release on October 30.
This game will be minus Hulk Hogan after the ‘you know what’ word controversy.
