Overview
The Arozzi Toretta is a hefty investment compared to the price of an average desk chair. Many people I’ve asked sit on something that cost no more than £70 and the Toretta is another £100 more expensive than that. This can be a worrying investment for some, but it really depends on how much time you sit at your desk. For me personally, I spend all day at my desk, then when I finish working, I sit at my desk some more to play games and relax. Because of this, I obviously want a good quality seat and if you work out that I’ll have this chair for at least two years, that’s about 20p a day for this chair; not so bad.
The chair is very comfortable, although admittedly the first couple of days took some getting used to. I can’t lean or slouch in this chair like I could my old one. Of course, this is no bad thing and after a few fairly uncomfortable days, my spine is straighter and the discomfort I had from my old chair, as well as from this chair when it was new, has gone.
The adjustable back rest and the additional cushions are something you’ll wonder how you did without. It doesn’t matter if you’re integrating this into your racing rig setup, or just putting it into the office, it’s going to provide you with sturdy back support regardless.
The Torreta is a very heavy chair, but despite its large overall size and weight, the high-quality wheels make it as nimble as a figure skater; good news for those who like to play office chair jousting.
Pros
- Adjustable armrests
- Adjustable backrest
- Optional lumbar and neck cushions
- Metal base (most chairs are plastic)
- Great aesthetics
Cons
- Expensive
- Quite a slim base compared to most desk chairs, those who have wide hips may want to check out the XL model.
