ASRock is renowned for producing a huge range of motherboards at extremely affordable prices. This makes the company’s line-up popular among small form factor builders and anyone who has a limited budget. Of Course, ASRock also unleashes higher-end offerings like the overclocking focused Formula motherboards. Today, the company announced an entry-level LGA1151 motherboard based on the H110 chipset. The new produced, dubbed the H110M-DS Hyper features two DIMM slots supporting up to 32GB of dual-channel DDR4-2133MHz memory, one PCI-E x16 slot for a discrete graphics card and a single PCI-E x1 slot.
Not only that, the motherboard houses four SATA 6Gb/s ports, four USB 3.0 ports (two on the rear panel, two via internal headers), 6-channel HD audio and a Gigabit Ethernet thanks to the Realtek RTL811GR chip. The motherboard employs a fairly basic 4+1 phase VRM which should be more than ample for its intended market. Also, the H110M-DS Hyper contains a single display output in the form of a dual-link DVI-D connector.
As you can see, there’s the usual array of power connectors and fan headers. ASRock has set a price under $6o which makes the product compelling value for a basic build. Hopefully, we should be receiving a review sample soon and will update our readers about the motherboard’s performance and build quality.
