ASRock Confirms Next-Gen CPU Support for DeskMini 110

The ASRock DeskMini 110 series introduces the Mini-STX form factor which allows you to install very capable components in a tiny 5″ x 5″ space. Recently, the company confirmed that the H110M-STX mainboard will support Intel’s next-generation processors. To utilise any upcoming Kaby Lake CPUs, simply update the BIOS beyond the P1.40 version. Even though Kaby Lake is unlikely to bring a major performance benefit compared to Skylake, the backwards compatibility should be useful for solutions like the DeskMini 110. Honestly, the ability to offer such a high level of processing power in a small form-factor shouldn’t be underestimated. ASRock’s DeskMini 110 is a wonderful barebones system and perfectly capable of dealing with a wide range of tasks.
