ASRock Industrial Releases New Mini PCs Powered By Intel N97 Processors

ASRock Industrial has today released new Mini PCs and Motherboards powered by Intel’s N97 Alder Lake quad core processor offering up to 37% performance increases over the previous Celeron J6412 processor. All of these systems feature rich I/O and expansion options plus are specced ready to meet the varied industry demands of entertainment, office, business, retail, transportation, embedded, industrial and beyond.

NUC BOX-N97 Mini PC

The NUC-BOX N97 Mini PC measures 117.5 x 110.0 x 47.85mm (L x W x H) and offers a fanned barebone design with plenty of I/O and expansion. For network connectivity, the Box-N97 offers dual 2.5 Gigabit LAN as well as one M.2 Key E 2230 for the bundled AMD RZ608 Wi-Fi 6E module. The I/O offers five USB 3.2 ports with two Type-C and three Type A with the former supporting DisplayPort 1.4 output alongside a HDMI 2.0 port. Paired up with the Intel N97 processor is up to 16GB of DDR4 SO-DIMM memory at 3200MHz as well as a single M.2 M Key and SATA 3.0 for storage. The small case can be easily mounted to a VESA bracket on the backside of a monitor for an even more compact workspace.

iBOX-N97 Fanless Mini PC

The iBOX N97 Fanless Mini PC is nearly identical to the BOX-N97 but instead uses a fanless design. This mini PC is housed within a 135 x 110 x 44.5mm (L x W x H) aluminium housing which provides silent cooling for the N97 processor. This Mini PC offers the same network connectivity options as the BOX N97 but features an additional Type A USB 3.2 gen 2 port bringing the total up to 6 with four Type A and two Type C.

NUC-N97 and Motherboards 

Alongside these PCs, ASRock is also offering barebones motherboards equipped with the N97 chip. These boards adhere to the NUC form factor measuring 4.09 x 4.02 inches and offer both DDR4-3200 and DDR5-4800 variants using SO-DIMM memory. These boards are equipped with a rich I/O including 1G and 2.5G lan with USB and COM ports offering plenty of potential for the workplace. ASRock offers a variety of configurations to suit specific needs in the industry.
