ASRock today announced a new range of mini-ITX motherboards under the Z68 chipset and 1155 socket. The Z68M-ITX/HT motherboard is using ASRock’s DuraCap high quality Japanese capacitors, a four phase power design for CPU power delivery and two full length DDR3 DIMM slots supporting RAM frequencies up to 2133MHz and a total capacity of 16GB. ASRock also uses its XFast USB and LAN technologies, in addition to 7.1 Channel HD Audio provided by the Realtek ALC892 codec.
Other features include;
ASRock also provides an infrared remote control to support the Home Theatre capabilities via Windows Media Centre which is what most consumers would probably be using the board for. A PCI-E slot at full 16X speed is available so a discrete video card can be added if need be although this board is not really intended for gaming. Expect affordability and good value for money as with all ASRock boards.
