ASRock has launched its first-ever low-profile GPU design in the form of the Intel Arc A380 6GB.
The ASRock Arc A380 as shared by VideoCardz is the company’s first opportunity for a low-profile design thanks to the A380’s 75W TDP. The card features a single PCIe slot but takes up two through its tall heatsink and measures 169mm in length. It contains two small fans within a simple black shroud which also features a 0dB silent mode. The small size of the card limits the amount of ports it can contain to just HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 2.0 which should be plenty for the use case of the card.
The A380 6GB GPU uses GDDR6 on a 96-bit bus with 186 GB/s bandwidth. This specific model from ASRock comes with the default factory clock of 2000 MHz. The A380 is not a particularly popular card for gaming but it is a solid and efficient AV1 encoding solution as a secondary GPU. Additionally, its 6GB of GDDR6 looks to be slightly more appealing than the competing RX 6400 or GTX 1630 both at 4GB both pretty awful value cards.
