The mini-ITX motherboards are never really going to top the fire-breathing ATX boards, that’s a simple fact. This motherboard is well engineered and has great power delivery hardware. However, it still has about half of that compared to its big brothers. With that in mind though, it still gave some solid performance figures, scoring 23185 in 3DMark and 5512 in Unigine, putting it on par with most Z390 solutions.
It did very well in PCMark 10 too, scoring our fourth highest score for this chipset. Most importantly for ASRock, it outperformed the Z390 mini-ITX from SuperMicro, but given this board is a much higher specification, that’s not a big surprise. The more robust VRM no doubt helped this board hit 83.88 in WPrime, compared to the 97.225 of the other Z390 Mini-ITX we tested. The same is true in Cinebench, where it competed well enough with the larger boards, scoring 214/2045.
