ASRock Releases AM4 X370 Ryzen Motherboards

Coinciding with the AMD Ryzen 7 launch, ASRock has launched their AM4 motherboards as well. In addition to the 4 top end X370 chipset motherboards, we also have 2 B350 boards filling out the launch lineup. We have the Fatal1ty X370 Professional Gaming, Fatal1ty X370 Gaming K4, X370 Taichi, X370 Killer SLI/ac, Fatal1ty AB350 K4 and AB350 Pro 4.

First up is the flagship Fatal1ty X370 Professional Gaming. As the top gaming oriented board, it features a striking black and red theme, with 2 stylised M.2 slots. There is also the IR digital PWM with 16 phases and 2x PCIe 3.0 x16 Steel Slots. This board features Aquantia 5Gb/s LAN along with 802.11ac WiFi +BT 4.2 for connectivity.

Next up is the all-rounder X370 Taichi with a white and black theme. Again, we have 2 Ultra M.2 slots as well as 2x PCIe 3.0 x16 Steel Slots. We also see the same 16 phase IR digital PWM design along with Intel Gigabit LAN and 802.11ac WiFi +BT 4.2.

If you’re concerned about your wallet, there is the more value X370 Killer SLI/ac. The board keeps the Intel Gigabit LAN and 802.11ac WiFi +BT 4.2 but loses out 4 PWM phases and some SATA ports. It keeps the same 2 PCIe 3.0 x16 Steel Slots and the 2 M.2 slots as well. The Fatal1y X370 Gaming K4 is largely the same but loses out on the WiFi.

Last of all, we have the 2 B350 motherboards. In addition to the lower end chipset, these boards lose out on a Steel Slots and trade it for regular slots and feature more diminutive heatsinks. They also feature less audio shielding and use the Realtek ALC892 instead of the ALC1220. All boards officially support DDR4 2667 which is lower than we expect for Ryzen.
