ASRock to introduce three Cedar trail mini-ITX motherboards

Intel’s Cedar Trail platform has suffered a lot of set backs but now it is finally ready to launch. ASRock is leading the way with no less than 3 motherboards using Intel’s new Cedar Trail platform packed into the mini-ITX form factor.
ASRock’s AD2500B-ITX makes use of the Intel Atom D2500 chip (which has 2 cores at 1.86GHz with 1MB of L2 cache) while the other two boards, the AD2700B-ITX and AD2700-ITX incorporate the higher clocked D2700 Atom (2.13GHz across 2 cores with 1MB of L2 cache). Intel’s Atom platform is aimed at low power (and relatively low performance) systems and consequently ASRock has implemented passive cooling across all three motherboards.
The new 32nm Cedar Trail Atom’s feature the NM10 express chipset , support for two SODIMM DDR3 slots (up to 4GB), two SATA II ports, a single PCI slot, an Ethernet port (10/100 Mbit on the AD2500B-ITX, Gigabit for the other two), a UEFI BIOS and ASRock specific features like ASRock Instant Boot, XFast USB and XFast LAN.
In terms of graphical connectivity you get VGA and 5.1 Audio on the AD2500B and AD2700B while the AD2700 model packs 7.1 HD audio and additional HDMI and DVI ports which the other two boards do not possess. Both the D2700 based boards have USB 3.0 support via a third party controller.
The motherboards will ship in the near future.
