ASRock Unveils Its Intel C232 Chipset Motherboards

After acknowledging that Intel’s Xeon E3-1200 processors offer performance figures that almost match some Core i7s, many users have decided to install them in their gaming rigs, particularly since the Xeon series is considerably cheaper when compared to the i7. However, the brand new Xeon E3-1200 v5 processors can only be installed on C232 chipset platforms, which means that regular Z170/H170/B150/H110-based motherboards can’t support them. Luckily, ASRock has recently unveiled a pair of Intel C232 chipset motherboards that were designed specifically for Intel’s E3-1230 v5.

The first motherboard, namely the ASRock Fatal1ty E3V5 Performance Gaming/OC, is mainly aimed at gamers while the ASRock E3V5 WS was made primarily for workstations. The gaming board doesn’t support Intel’s rather modest integrated graphics, but it does come with impressive features such as ASRock Hyper BCLK Engine, DDR4 Non-Z OC, Gaming Armor, Super Alloy components, and it supports ECC memory DIMMs as well as DDR4 memory. We should also mention the Fatal1ty mouse port, F-Stream, and Key Master, as these are bound to appeal to potential users.

As for the ASRock E3V5 WS, it also supports ECC memory DIMMs and DDR4 memory modules, as well as  NVIDIA Quadro and AMD FirePro graphics cards. Other highlights comprise an onboard Intel I219LM LAN chip that provides server grade  internet connections.

What do you think about these new ASRock products?
