Overclocking
As I said before, our CPU will hit a steady 4.6 GHz at 1.21v, which is pushing it pretty hard, but we’re not out for 24/7 performance here, we’re out to tax the motherboards. The overclocking saw a significant performance boost from the motherboard, and we didn’t see any blue screens either, it was stable as the base of a mountain. Scores in 3Dmark went from 20474 at stock to a much more competitive 21570 once overclocked. WPrime 1024 dropped from 81 seconds to 78, which is ok, but will no doubt improve with more cooling on the motherboard. Finally, Cinbench boosted from 1969 to a meatier 2167.
