ASRock X299M Extreme 4 Motherboard Review

Synthetic Benchmarks
As you would expect from an X299 motherboard, it’s no slouch when it comes to performance. While 21577 and 5542 aren’t the highest for 3DMark and Unigine, they’re certainly up there with other X299 scores, and it’s pretty capable overall. However, once overclocked, we got the 3DMark score up to an even healthier 22395, which is almost identical to other X299 motherboards scores. The PCMark 10 score was great too, and once overclocked it hit 6251, making it a multi-tasking powerhouse for day-to-day work.
For the more intense benchmarks such as WPrime, CineBench and Handbrake, the mATX board had no issues keeping up with the big boys. Of course, it’s still an X299 motherboard and has that lovely 20 thread CPU to do that big work, but the capable power delivery means this board can keep the speeds maxed out with no issues for long periods of time. Scoring just 66.933 seconds in WPrime is amazing, as it 2501 in 3D Mark, making is just 4 points short of the fastest X299 score we’ve had to date.
