Software Overview
ASRock App Shop
ASRock’s software suite for their X99 and Z97, motherboards can be divided up into three key utilities. The first of those is the ASRock App Shop, which as its name might suggest, is a location to download, install and update applications and utilities recommended or produced by ASRock. These include ASRock’s own utilities, like A-Tuning or App Charger, third party software developed for ASRock, like Orbweb ME, and other third-party software like Google Chrome.
ASRock A-Tuning
One of ASRock’s own utilities is the A-Tuning app. Within A-Tuning there are options to select pre-configured operation modes, more helpfully thought of as power profiles, and open up a variety of ASRock tools and utilities. Under the OC Tweaker tab within-OS overclocking tools are made available and you can keep on top of your changes by using the system information tab.
ASRock XFast LAN
Next up is ASRock’s XFast LAN developed by third party software company CFOS. This is a fairly advanced traffic management, prioritsation and shaping software that gives users a lot of flexibility in organising their network presence. Given this motherboard boasts dual Gigabit network controllers having this kind of flexibility is useful.
